(1) the overall structure of the pump


The layout of the vacuum pump body determines the overall structure of the pump.


Vertical structure of the inlet and exhaust port horizontal setting, assembly and connection pipeline are more convenient. But the center of gravity of the pump is higher, poor stability at high speed, so this type of pump is used for small.


The inlet of the horizontal pump is on the top and the exhaust is on the bottom. Sometimes, in order to facilitate the installation and connection of the vacuum system pipeline, the exhaust port can be connected from the horizontal direction, that is, the inlet and exhaust direction are perpendicular to each other. At this time, the exhaust port can be opened from the left or right two directions, in addition to one end of the exhaust pipe, the other end is blocked or connected with the bypass valve. The pump has a low center of gravity and good stability when running at high speed. Generally large, medium pump more use this structure.


The two rotor shafts of the pump are mounted perpendicular to the horizontal plane. This structure assembly clearance is easy to control, rotor assembly is convenient, pump footprint is small. But the pump center of gravity is higher and the gear disassembly is inconvenient, the lubrication mechanism is relatively complex.


(2) transmission mode of pump


The two rotors of the vacuum pump operate relatively synchronously through a pair of high precision gears. The driving shaft is connected with the motor by a coupling. In the transmission structure layout mainly has the following two kinds: one is the motor and gear on the same side of the rotor as shown. The driven rotor is driven by the motor end gear directly, so that the torsion deformation of the active rotor shaft is small, and the gap between the two rotors will not be changed because of the large torsion deformation of the active shaft, so that the gap between the rotors is uniform in the process of operation. The biggest disadvantage of this transmission mode is: a. There are three bearings on the driving shaft, which increases the difficulty of processing and assembly of the pump, and the disassembly and adjustment of the gear is inconvenient; B. The overall structure is not symmetrical, and the center of gravity of the pump is biased to one side of the motor and the gearbox.

Mechanical installation of Edward vacuum pump RV8:


The vacuum pump should be installed in the ground solid place, there should be enough room around, easy to check, maintenance, maintenance.


The vacuum pump base should maintain the level of the foundation, the base at the four corners of the proposed pad shock absorber rubber or bolt pouring system installation, to ensure the smooth operation of the vacuum pump, small vibration.


(3) The vacuum pump and the connecting pipeline system should be sealed and reliable, the small vacuum pump can use metal pipe connection gasket with oil resistant rubber, the small vacuum pump can use vacuum hose connection, pipe diameter shall not be less than the vacuum pump suction diameter, and the pipeline short and less elbow. (The welding slag in the pipeline should be removed when welding the pipeline, and the welding slag is strictly prohibited to enter the vacuum pump chamber.)


⑷ In the connection line, the user can install the valve and vacuum gauge above the vacuum pump inlet, and check the limit pressure of the vacuum pump at any time.


(5) Connect the power supply, ground wire, and install the fuse and thermal relay of appropriate specifications according to the motor label.


It is necessary to remove the motor belt and ensure that the vacuum pump turns in accordance with the prescribed direction before it can be put into use to prevent the vacuum pump from reversing and spraying oil. (Turn to the direction indicated by the shield)


For the vacuum pump with cooling water, connect the cooling water according to the regulations.
